Parent Classes – Spring 2016

We have a range of classes for parents and carers running this term. As always, Claire Shortall, our Home-School-Community Liaison Teacher is the source of all information on them – so do drop in and ask for more information if you’re interested.

We have…

Operation Transformation

This group meets on Mondays for a Boxercise class from 10.00 to 11.00 a.m. in Mount Carmel Secondary School. They meet again on Fridays at 9.30 a.m. for a personal fitness/diet progress review and a 3-5km walk. Get fit for the New Year and come and join this great group.

Cooking
Our cookery class meets every Tuesday morning at 9.30 a.m. in Mount Carmel
Relaxation – Knitting and Art
On Wednesdays, we have a relaxation group who enjoy knitting and art. This group meets at St. Mary’s Primary School from 9.15-10.30 a.m. and once a month, they enjoy a visit to a local art gallery.
English Language Class
If you’d like to learn English in a relaxed and supportive setting, why not join our English class which takes places every Thursday morning from 9.30  – 11 a.m. at Mount Carmel. For parents who’d rather have one to one lessons, Sr. Pauline is also available on Thursday at St. Mary’s.
Story Sacks
This is another craft based group. Parents works together to create a ‘sack’ of resources to match a children’s story. It might be sewing puppets or creating pictures. The group meets on Thursdays at 12pm in St. Mary’s Primary School.
